what does custom apparel cost? how our quotes work.

The honest answer to "what does a custom shirt cost?" is: it depends, and anyone who gives you one number without asking questions is guessing. Every job we run is quoted individually. But "it depends" is a lazy place to stop, so here is exactly what it depends on.

the variables that move your quote.

Quantity. The single biggest lever. Setup work (burning screens, dialing in the press) is spread across your whole order, so per-piece pricing gets meaningfully better as quantity grows. We run jobs from 1 piece to 10,000 and beyond.

Colors and locations. In screen printing, every ink color needs its own screen and every print location is a separate run. A 1-color front is the budget option; a 6-color front plus a back adds real work.

The garment itself. A basic Gildan tee and a Carhartt jacket are different starting points. We carry Gildan, Bella+Canvas, Comfort Colors, Carhartt, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and more, at a range of price points.

Method. Screen printing wins at quantity, embroidery and digital printing (DTF) have one-piece minimums, and thread count matters for embroidery quotes.

the fixed fees, in plain sight.

Screen printing orders below minimum (12 pieces for 1 to 3 colors) carry a $35 per-screen charge. Embroidery has a one-time $35 digitizing setup fee, after which your logo is on file forever. Custom artwork runs $100 per hour, and the first 30 minutes is free when your order includes production. Rush fees depend on the timeline, except state tournament orders, which carry no rush fees at all.

what happens when you ask.

Send us the idea however is easiest: walk in, call, email, or the quote form. Quotes are usually back within 24 hours. You approve the quote, a 50% deposit sends the job into art, you approve a proof, and nothing prints until you've signed off. Standard turnaround is 8 to 10 business days after art approval.

Why don't we publish a price list? Because we'd rather ask you three questions and get the number right than publish a range that's wrong for your job in both directions. Ask us. It costs nothing and takes a day.
